Coach Mike Brown was fired by the Los Angeles Lakers hours before game time against the Golden State Warriors on Friday, November 9, 2012. The Lakers responded with a huge victory over the Warriors, 101-77, at Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA, according to NBA.com.

After five games into the 2012-2013 NBA Season, Brown was fired as the Lakers registered a winless pre-season and a 1-4 win-loss record to place last in the Western Conference at the start of the season.
Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 27 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Spaniard Pau Gasol contributed 14 points and 16 rebounds to the LA‘s victory. Jordan Hill added 14 points for the Lakers.
Bernie Bickerstaff was relegated as the Lakers‘ interim coach after Brown‘s exit.

Stephen Curry anchored the offense for the Warriors as he scored 18 points and Klay Thompson added 15 points.

The Lakers top brass are reportedly looking at former coach Phil Jackson and Mike D’Antoni as a possible replacement to Brown.
